I'm going to be needing an inspection as soon as I take the car out of the garage in a couple of weeks and I'm sure that it won't pass a full inspection. Anybody know of anyplace around Auburn that I can go to for an easier pass?

I can't wait to move to the South and have no worries. But in the mean time, I need to pass an inspection up here. Also, does anybody know the rules concerning aftermarket turbo setups? I've heard somewhere that they won't pass at all. If I can squeek by the turbo and open vented BOV then I should be fine. I have a cat. temporarily bolted in and a resonator so hopefully they won't mind side exit exhaust.

Your fine. Done. Its not OBD 2, there is nothing to it. You drive in they'll check lights etc. Go to Daceys, or another small place. Just dont go to a Jiffy lube etc. They dont care whats done to the car etc. My SC'd Civic has no problems at all, and as soon as you pop my hood Jackson Racing superchargers is all you see engraved across my manifold. Its fine no worries!

If its older than a 96 - OBD1 then you dont have to worry about anythign... so long as the car is in good shape - suspension brakes frame and the engine runs smoothly then you will be just fine. There are no emissions checks on the older cars because there is no standard way to check them. WIth the oBD2 cars the ECU monitors the O2 sensors and the catalytic efficiency to determine wether or not the car is running right. That is the only way Albany is able to check the emissions on these cars. I dont know exactky how we would deal with a turbo at Eliminator - i assume that it would pass so long as the car was running correctly

Sounds good. I've never had the car inspected since it was modded so I wasn't sure what to exect. I just know that they're still strict as hell here in Mass even if it's OBD1 or older. I had also heard around that vented BOV's don't pass at all either, but whatever. I just can't wait to get it back on the road and racing again!

Passing should be easy as long as it everything works right.
