So I just moved out to Arizona with my girlfriend and was "forced" to buy a new car since I sold my integra to move out here. Here she is: It's a 2004 Touring Roadster. I found it with the optional 18's, Bose stereo, 6 disc in dash changer, DVD Navigation, perforated leather, random "Z" styling pieces, and obviously the 6 spd. with under 15,000 miles for a pretty good deal. I orginially wanted an s2000, but I am happy with the 350Z. It handles superbly better than I was expecting from such a heavy car, primarily due to a near 50/50 wait distribution, LSD, traction control, and the 4-link in the rear and 3-link in the front. All in all it's a very comfortable and smooth ride, and still enough fun for now.

I ended up getting away just around $28,000. I was happing with the deal considering a brand new one with those options pushes over $42,000, and it barely has a blemish on it.

Thats one of the great advantages people have in the south. All they need is one car for year round.....so that car can be a dedicated sports car.
If I lived in a state that had no snow etc I'd definately have a rwd sports car as my only car.

Thanks for the compliments. That is a definite big advantage of living out here. I never would have bought this if I was still living in the east. It doesn't make sense to unless you can afford to make huge payments on a car that you only drive for half of the year. It's also nice being able to put nice performance tires on it since it barely rains here too.

The car looks good. I like the s2 a little better but thats probably becasue it's a bit smaller. So what kind of job did you end up finding in AZ?

I thought I recalled him going to school for engineering.

Ya I was curious what kind of engineering, and what kind of job he ended up with. Since I am starting to look for myself now.

I found a civil engineering job with Manhard Consulting. They are a fairly large company that mainly deals with land development design. The job market out here for pretty much everything is huge compared to when I was looking in NY and in Mass. I spent months looking for jobs out there and didn't get anything worthwhile, and I came out here and had two great offers within less than two weeks. I would recommend this area to anybody, as long as you can handle 115* days during the summer. I feel like it will be worth it from October to April when it never goes below 60 and I can drive the Z all the time.

Right now I'm looking in this area for work because I really don't want to leave family and friends but I may soon if I don't find work. I finish my mechanical engineering degree in four more weeks then hopefully I can start making real money too. Good luck with the new job.
